LogicVein Release - June 2025

As we continue to evolve our network automation and compliance platform, our latest product update brings a range of powerful new features and critical fixes designed to improve reliability, visibility, and usability across your network operations. Here’s what’s new and improved in this release:

New Features That Make a Difference

  • Extended Playbook Timeout & SCP Progress: Playbook execution now supports longer timeouts—perfect for those larger or more complex automations. We’ve also introduced a progress indicator for SCP transfers, giving you real-time visibility into file movement during playbook operations.

  • Email & Webhook Enhancements: Even when a playbook is canceled, you’ll now receive Email and Webhook notifications—ensuring you never miss a critical update or alert, no matter the outcome of the job.

  • Variables in SSH Exec Node: You asked, and we delivered: the [SSH Exec] node now supports variables, making your SSH-based automations more dynamic, flexible, and intelligent.

  • Cloud Discovery Support: Discovery just got smarter. We’ve added support for discovering devices in cloud environments, enabling broader visibility across hybrid networks.

  • WebSocket Keep-Alive: We’ve improved backend stability by maintaining active WebSocket connections during idle periods—preventing unexpected disconnects and improving UI responsiveness for long sessions.

  • Compliance Dashboard Improvements: The Compliance Device Summary now shows a more accurate device count, helping teams track audit scope and progress with greater confidence.

Fixes – Smoother Operations Ahead

  • Smarter SNMP Discovery: If a GETBULK request fails due to oversized PDU encoding, we now automatically switch to GETNEXT—ensuring discovery completes successfully even with tricky devices.

  • Reliable Playbook Logging: We’ve resolved an issue where playbook runs weren’t properly logged when initiated by someone other than the current user. All activity is now accurately recorded.

  • Linux Process Stats Monitoring: An issue affecting the monitoring of multiple processes via Agent-D for Linux has been corrected—no more error messages when tracking multiple services.

  • Excel Import Error Resolved: An issue where Excel imports caused a false "license shortage" error has been corrected—so you can add new devices without disruption.

  • Accurate Inventory Exports: Inventory exports to Excel will now properly display "Last Backup" and "Last Changed" fields, ensuring you have complete data for reporting and analysis.

  • Large Backup Restores Fixed: Large system backup files no longer cause restore failures. System restores are now more reliable and scalable.

  • PostgreSQL Logs & Notifications: We’ve relocated PostgreSQL logs to a dedicated location and introduced clearer notifications for system backup failures, so you’ll always be in the loop.
